Stage 3: Soft Food

The secret to perfect soft boiled eggs is the timing. For additional doneness in the center, you may cook for extra 30-60 seconds.
2 cold eggs directly from the fridge
Salt and pepper to taste
1Boil a few cups of water ( just enough to cover the eggs) in a small saucepan.
2Lower the heat to low-medium. Add the eggs one at a time.
3Cover with lid. Let it cook for 7 minutes.
4Remove eggs from water.
5Run eggs under cold tap water for 30 to 60 seconds so that the eggs are lukewarm to touch.
Cook Time: 7 Minutes
