The Perfect Soft Boiled Eggs

The secret to perfect soft boiled eggs is the timing. For additional doneness in the center, you may cook for extra 30-60 seconds.

2 cold eggs directly from the fridge Salt and pepper to taste


Boil a few cups of water ( just enough to cover the eggs) in a small saucepan. Lower the heat to low-medium. Add the eggs one at a time. Cover with lid. Let it cook for 7 minutes. Remove eggs from water. Run eggs under cold tap water for 30 to 60 seconds so that the eggs are lukewarm to touch.
