Smoked Salmon Roll

This sushi roll is perfect for a quick bite or lunch. Inspired by the Philadelphia roll, this smoked salmon sushi roll is fast and easy to make. Unlike the traditional Philadelphia roll, this recipe does not include cucumber, but you can always add cucumber slices or alfalfa sprouts.

½ cup of cooked short grain rice (sushi rice) 1 tbsp. of seasoned Japanese rice vinegar 1-2 oz. of cold smoked salmon slices ½ seaweed sheet (nori) 1 tbsp. of low fat cream cheese (optional)


In a small bowl, combine cooked sushi rice with one tablespoon of seasoned Japanese rice vinegar. Mix thoroughly. Prepare to roll the salmon: place the smoked salmon on top of cutting board or saran wrap. Then place seaweed (nori) on top of the salmon. Spread the seasoned rice on the nori, and start to roll the salmon to resemble a cigar. Add low fat cream cheese if desired.
