Stage 4: Solid Food
September 16, 2015
Homemade lightly smoked salmon that doesn’t take the whole day to make it. The best of all, you do not need a smoker. You can bake it in the oven or grill it outdoors.
1 cedar plank soaked in salted water for at least 1 hour.
4 salmon fillets (3 oz each)
3 tbsp of Dijon mustard
3 tbsp of brown sugar
1 whole lemon, sliced
A pinch of salt and pepper
1Place the cedar plank on the grill over 350-400 F.
2Make the rub: Combine mustard, sugar, a pinch of salt, and pepper together. Mix well.
3Coat the salmon fillets with the rub evenly. Add Lemon slices on top of the salmon fillets.
4Place salmon on top of the cedar plank. Cover and let it cook for about 15 minutes depending on the degree of doneness. Check occasionally to make sure the plank is not on fire.
