No Sugar Added Cranberry Sauce

Simple holiday sauce that compliments well with turkey or chicken dishes. A sugar substitute can be added to sweeten the sauce.

Yields: 2 Cups

Ingredients

12 oz. of fresh/frozen cranberries ½ cup of no sugar added pineapple juice ¼ cup of no sugar added applesauce ½ cup of water 1/8 tsp. of kosher salt 1 large orange, zested and squeezed (discard the pith and seeds) 1 tsp. of no-calorie sugar substitute (optional)

Directions

Add all ingredients except the sugar substitute in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. Lower the heat and stir the mixture constantly for 5 minutes or until the cranberries start to burst/pop. Simmer the mixture and cover with a lid for 15 minutes or until the cranberries are soft. Remove from heat. Blenderize the cranberries mixture for a smoother consistency. Add sugar substitute if desired. Store in fridge overnight.
