Inspired by authentic Mexican hot chocolate, this recipe utilizes chocolate flavored protein powder for a lower fat content. Replace nonfat milk with water for a reduced calorie version.
1In a small pot, warm 1 cup of nonfat milk for 5 minutes or until simmering (make sure not to scorch the milk). Lower the heat.
2Add cinnamon powder, vanilla extract, ground cayenne pepper, and chocolate whey protein powder. Mix well.
3Cook the mixture for one minute. Remove from heat and transfer to a cup.
