Homemade-Yoghurt

Homemade Yogurt

Make your homemade nonfat yogurt with only two simple ingredients at home. You can make it in a stove top or slow cooker. Be sure not to scorch the milk and use cooking/candy thermometer to measure the right temperature as directed on the instructions.
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Yields: 4 Cups

Ingredients

4 cups of nonfat milk ¼ cup store-bought nonfat yogurt

Directions

In a large saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat just until it simmer and the temperature reaches 180F. Stir occasionally. Transfer the milk into a clean glass/heatproof airtight container. Let the milk cool to 110F. You may occasionally stir to help milk cools faster. Add store- bought yogurt, and mix well. Cover the container with a lid, and wrap with a clean towel to insulate the heat from the container. Let the yogurt mixture rest (untouched) for at least 8 hours or until thickened and tangy. Serve immediately or refrigerate the fresh yogurt for at least 2 hours before serving.
